The Friends of St. Edmund’s (FOSE)
St. Edmund’s is well known for being a very family friendly and social school. As a result, we are very fortunate to have a supportive and enthusiastic group of parents and friends who organise events for us throughout the year. Particular highlights are the Bonfire Night, Quiz Night and the Summer Fete. FOSE also hold regular “coffee catch-ups” in the Drawing Room throughout the academic year, straight after drop off; everyone is warmly invited to attend as it is a great platform for parents both old and new to get together. Parents are also welcome to play a round of golf on Thursday mornings.
All parents automatically become members of FOSE when their children join the school, and parents are always welcome to attend a committee meeting, dates of which are listed in the school calendar. FOSE primary objectives are to organise a variety of social activities for the school community to raise funds for items of benefit for the pupils of the school. At the beginning of 2014, FOSE adopted a new constitution and achieved charitable status via registration with PTA-UK.
FOSE are always open to suggestions, comments and volunteers so do please feel free to get involved.
