Good Luck Ketch!

It is hard to believe that a year has gone by since our good friend James Ketchell joined the school for the day to talk to all of the children about his adventures and the need to believe in yourself. Only a few months later he joined us as our Guest Speaker at Speech Day to tell us all about his new challenge – well, they say that time flies when you’re having fun and on Sunday 31st March, James embarked on his next adventure, his attempt to set the world record of becoming the first person to circumnavigate the globe in a gyrocopter, travelling 37,000 km.

His mission is to inspire one million young people around the world to pursue their own goals and dreams, whilst raising funds for two great charities: Kindled Spirit, who support and rehabilitate young victims of human trafficking and slavery; and Over the Wall, who run residential activity camps for children with serious health issues.

James, the whole of the St. Ed’s community sends you the very best of luck and we look forward to following your adventure and hopefully having a live web chat with you from somewhere around the world! See you soon!
