Double, double toil and trouble …..

We were delighted to welcome back the Young Shakespeare Company this term, who this year performed Macbeth, or should I say “the Scottish Play” to children in Forms 5 and 6. Portraying Shakespeare’s mesmerizing story of ambition, guilt and revenge, the play was brought vividly to life around and among the young audience, with the storyteller enabling the children to become actively involved in the play through a carefully structured range of drama and language activities. Unsurprisingly, the children were completely captivated by the fast-moving fully-costumed interactive production; what a perfect introduction to the world of Shakespeare.
