The Big Climate Fightback

Our resident tree warriors in Form 4R joined their Natural History Club teachers Dr Inward and Mrs Bennett, and the other millions of people in the world, to plant a tree in support of the global Big Climate Fightback campaign. The Big Climate Fightback is a campaign to get one million people to join the fight against climate change by pledging to plant a tree during National Tree Week in November, November representing the start of the traditional tree planting season. Dr Inward and Mrs Bennett decided on a Rowan (or Mountain Ash / Sorbus aucuparia) due to its reputation as a fast-growing pioneer tree characterised by its brilliant red berries at the end of summer. Congratulations Form 4R for making that one a million difference.
