It all smells a bit fishy to us!

As part of their ‘Science of Scuba’ topic, our Form 9s had the delights of dissecting an Atlantic Mackerel in their biology lessons last week to help them identify the differences between humans and fish. In keeping with the UK’s “Fish Responsibly” initiative, the Atlantic Mackerel was chosen for its size, shape and its abundance presence in the British waters. It was clear to see our young Scientists thoroughly enjoyed their practical lesson, just a shame nobody thought of bringing a camping stove and a wedge of lemon for a mid-morning snack!
