Our independent school is based within Hindhead, less than 10 miles away from nearby Godalming, with a school service minibus running twice per day throughout the academic year.

Admissions to St. Edmund’s consists primarily of Nursery, Reception, Form 3 (7+), and Form 7 (11+), with limited places available from Form 9 (13+). Through our Little Ed’s Nursery located within our 40-acre campus, we provide a stimulating environment for your child from 2 to 4 years old, with imaginative play and practical skills, and abundant opportunities for outdoor exploration to instil a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.

Progressing through Lower Prep and Prep School, your child will then reach the final chapter of their journey at our school, where Senior students are expected to think independently, discuss, challenge, and be guided towards becoming mature self-determined individuals prepared for the ever-changing world that will await them. With small teaching groups, we ensure all students are supported where their confidence can be invigorated, and individuals be heard.

Throughout the school we embrace an educational philosophy which is both traditional but also contemporary, working closely with parents & carers to ensure all aspects of a student’s development are supported, fostering independent thinking and responsible citizenship. We instil respect and humility into all, and encourage students to express themselves and value their own voice.
